About the brand
The history of Amrut Distilleries is as old as the history of independent India itself. After six decades of
notable progress, just like India, Amrut Distilleries has grown both in stature and size and is now noted as a
global economic leader. Amrut Distilleries Private Limited began in 1948 under the name and style of Amrut
Laboratories, with an initial investment of barely a few lakhs. The founder was the late Shri J.N.
Radhakrishna, J.N.R as he is fondly called to this day. Under the leadership of the founder, Amrut Distilleries
made rapid strides to entrench itself as a significant and preferred supplier of Indian Made Liquor (IML) in
the Defence Market. In its state of origin, Karnataka, too, Amrut Distilleries grew to be one of the dominant
suppliers, especially in the old Mysore area.After the untimely demise of J.N. Radhakrishna Rao Jagdale in
1976, the mantle devolved on his son, Shri Neelakanta Rao, the present Chairman and Managing Director.

I simply got and split my container and need to state I'm baffled . It has some decent sherry enhances however the liquor consume is off putting! Time may enable this one open to up and mitigate the hotness yet right now I'll give it a 3.25 considering the over the top cost for such a youthful spiritand extremely frustrating for the $110 in addition to $20 in assessments and delivery on that.I don't get the exceptionally high surveys except if those analysts didn't rate it until it opened up to a superior profile. Glendronach 18 overwhelms this by multiple times or more at a similar cost point!!

The liquor quality turns out in the nose and this is a solid complex bourbon. After a couple of drops it progresses down and is truly charming .

Nose
Instead of the usual biscuit aroma, we now get moist cake. And my word: is it fruity and spicy!! Love the freshly waxed oak floor, too.
Taste
Cracking delivery and entirely unique in form. The structure is decidedly oak-based, but acts as no more than a skeleton from which the juicy sultana and spices drape. Salivating, too, as the barley kicks in powerfully. But the liquorice-orangey-honeycomb bourbon theme quietly shapes the flavour profile; the spices pulse and glow

Quite a chunk of natural caramel quietens the more exuberant characteristics; long and elegant
