Tobermory Distillery is a unique Hebridean whisky distillery founded in 1798 on the Isle of Mull by John Sinclair - a mere ten years after the village of Tobermory itself was recognized by the British Fisheries Society. Due to a drop in demand during Prohibition in the US, the distillery temporarily closed its doors in 1930.
