The story of I. W. Harper begins in 1848 when founder and namesake, I. W. Bernheim, arrived in
America with only $4.00 in his pocket and a head full of dreams. Over a century later, the lavish
whiskey empire he built up from such humble beginnings has remained, continuing to produce
quality whiskey widely favored all over the world. The Bernheim Bros. distillery opened in 1870 and
